About the Environment Survey
The Environment Survey focuses on the dog’s physical and built
environment, chemical environment and exposures, and social environment.
In Curated Data, these owner-reported values are paired with zip
code-specific environment data, including census tract-level
sociodemographic and economic indicators, air pollution indicators,
climate and weather variables, and walkability scores. Participant
addresses, including zip code, are withheld from Curated Data to protect
privacy. All scientific studies that require geographic linkage must be
done in collaboration with the DAP Data and Analysis team.
